Once the search results have been displayed, you can switch back and forth between the text-only view and the text-plus-map view very easily. On left side of the results toolbar, there are two controls that allow you to make the change. One of these controls will always be "grayed out" (inactive) because it corresponds to the current display mode. The other control will be displayed as an available link.
